Secure real seat at the table with the POTS replacement opportunity. They currently have a provider they have tested successfully and feel confident in, but seemed open to having a competitive offer come in as long as it could be tested successfully. We have been trying to kick off a pilot in their lab but have not been able to do so yet. Working with Tim O’Brien’s org (Andy Gibbs, Virginia Douglass and Brooke Truner). Also would like to try and better understand what solutions Sai owns directly so we can sell into his org without having to go through infrastructure.

Had great discussion with Sai about network initiatives and timing for who and how to engage. HCA is facing headwinds due to end of Obamacare. 24M ppl have lost health insurance and HCA is expecting up to a 20% impact to top line revenue due to people w/insurance not seeking care. Need to get aligned with Tim O’Brien (MB and Bowie) and get a new rep aligned to Tim’s direct report. Align technical resource to Terrence Peters (Enterprise Architect on Sai’s team). HCA spends $22m/year with lumen for their secondary network. Need to position for circuit replacement that drives cost savings. Position to participate in SDWAN strategy. Thinking z-scaler. Talked to Ursula about supporting Hope Fund their charity arm.
